distinction--home to the richest man in the world.Carlos Slim Helu has
been named on the annual Forbes billionaire list as the richest man in
the world, putting Bill Gates in second, with Warren Buffett coming in
third.Helu's shares of Slim's telecommunications is said to be worth
$53.5 billion.According to Forbes, Bill Gates has slipped into second
place after being in the first position for over 14 of the last 15
years.Forbes announced that Gate's current fortune is $53 billion, a
half a billion less than Carlos Slim Helu.The news from Forbes didn't
impress everyone in Mexico. According to that country's government,
almost have the population of 170 million people live below the
poverty level."This is shameful," said Ernesto Villanueva, a resident
of Mexico City. He told the Associated Press. "This is part of what is
wrong with the Mexican political system and the corruption in the
circles of power that allow there to be a few rich people and millions

Pepsi and Coke get a bit hot on Prices
Soft drink majors PepsiCo and Coca-Cola have increased prices of some
of their products by up to 20%, giving in to surging input costs at
last. While Coca-Cola has increased the prices of all its soft drink
brands in 300 ml and 2 litre PET bottles between 9% and 20%, PepsiCo
is understood to have raised prices by Rs 2 of all its 200 ml, 300 ml
and 600 ml bottles across all brand. "Price increase of soft drinks
have been happening in phase wise since November last year.
When contacted, a Coca-Cola spokesperson confirmed the development and
said the firm has increased the prices of "select packs in some
markets".

Google - China Stand off Coming to an End?
Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google, said the company expects a result of talks with China on a dispute related to the control of the Internet and its penetration.
